Group Therapy
Group Therapy” is a quartet with a combined 120 years of Barbershop experience. Members are Linda Laraway singing Lead, Kandy Getty singing Tenor, Jerry Schmidt singing Bari and Jim Holder singing Bass. All have sung in numerous quartets over the years. Since all four enjoy learning new music and relish a challenge, they felt that a mixed quartet would be therapeutic – hence the quartet’s name.
Group Therapy took first place in the inaugural Seneca Land District mixed quartet competition in Rochester in September 2018.
Since they all believe that the hours spent singing do not count against one’s life span, they are getting younger all the time. Their biggest challenge is to learn all the songs they want to sing before they get too young!
